This project came to Kirkplan through our sister company Coastal Granite. Coastal Granite completed the fabrication, and from there they reached out to us to do the installations. Because of our close relationship with Coastal Granite, the project transition was seamless. This referral shows the trust and confidence Coastal Granite had in our team to bring the clients’ visions to life.
Project goals & needs:
Looking to elevate their master bathroom the clients wanted a space that felt stylish, and modern, they wanted that “wow” moment. They wanted a design that would capture people’s attention, while still maintaining a sleek, clean look. The clients requested a pop of color in the bathroom that would bring some personality into the space.
Project-specific challenges:
A key challenge in this project was working with veined quartz over a large surface. The client chose a quartz design with a bold veining that made it essential for each slap to line up and have a continuous flow. This required detailed planned and precise installation. The process was both time-consuming and physically demanding, requiring close collaboration between the design, fabrication, and installation teams. However, the effort was well worth it. This challenge ultimately highlighted our team’s unwavering commitment to craftsmanship, and the ability to execute high-end, challenging installations, under technically demanding conditions.
To achieve the client’s vision of an elegant, eye-catching bathroom our team suggested Cambria Quartz Inverness Gold for both the shower walls, shower benches, and countertops. A clean but striking material that gave the clients the pop of color they were looking for. The choice of Inverness Gold not only added a hint of color and sophistication, but also provided the durability and low maintenance of quartz. By using the same material across many surfaces, the design achieved a seamless flow and elegance that highly elevated the look of the bathroom.

Our sister company, Coastal Granite, covered the entire walk-in shower walls in this master bathroom seamlessly covered with Cambria’s Inverness Gold quartz as well as his and her bathroom sink counter.
Project execution & steps:
The project began with the demolition of the existing bathroom surfaces to make way for the new design. Coastal Granite then took exact measurements and created detailed templates of the entire space to ensure a perfect fit, especially critical for achieving the seamless look in the walk-in shower. With fabrication complete, Kirkplan Kitchens expertly installed each piece, carefully aligning veining and minimizing joints for a luxurious look. Finishing touches included on-site polishing, edge refinement, and sealing, resulting in a cohesive, high-end master bathroom.
Final transformation:
The remodel transformed a dated master bathroom into something special. We went with Cambria Quartz Inverness Gold throughout – shower walls, benches, countertops – which created this nice continuous look that ties everything together. The golden veining adds warmth without being too flashy, and it works well with the modern fixtures. There were some structural issues to work around during construction, but the finished space came out better than anyone expected.
