Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose between Granite, Quartz, and Quartzite?
It really comes down to your lifestyle. Granite is a classic, heat-resistant natural stone where every slab is a unique piece of art. Quartzite is also a natural stone but offers a look closer to marble with even greater durability. Quartz, like our premium Cambria line, is an engineered stone – it’s non-porous, meaning it never needs sealing and is incredibly resistant to stains and scratches. During your showroom visit, we’ll help you weigh the “maintenance vs. aesthetic” balance for your home.
Why do you highlight Cambria Quartz specifically?
We are proud to offer Cambria because it represents the gold standard in quartz surfaces. It is handcrafted in America, incredibly durable, and offers some of the most breathtaking movement and veining in the industry. Because it’s non-porous and non-absorbent, it won’t draw in moisture from our humid Florida climate or harbor bacteria, making it as hygienic as it is beautiful.
Can I pick out my specific slab?
Absolutely. We believe you should fall in love with your stone before it ever reaches your home. Since natural stones like granite and quartzite have variations in pattern and color that a small sample can’t fully show, we encourage you to view the full slabs. This ensures the veining and “flow” of the stone match exactly what you envisioned for your space.
Do you handle the removal of my old countertops?
Yes. Our team provides full-service installation, which includes the professional demolition and removal of your existing surfaces. We take great care to protect your cabinetry and flooring during the process, ensuring a clean transition to your new stone.
How do I maintain my natural stone countertops in a coastal environment?
For natural stones like granite and quartzite, we recommend a simple “wipe and dry” routine with a stone-safe cleaner. While the salt air doesn’t harm the stone itself, we recommend periodic resealing (which we can advise you on) to keep the surface protected from moisture. For Quartz owners, no sealing is ever required—just a bit of warm water and mild soap.
Do you offer edge profile options?
Yes. The edge of your countertop can completely change the “feel” of the room. From a clean, modern Eased edge to a more traditional Ogee or a dramatic Mitered edge for a thicker look, we can customize the profile to suit your cabinetry and overall design style.
